the prestigious Gulf Ladies Trophy at the Dubai Rugby Sevens. The team
played a fantastic tournament not conceding a single point in the entire
competition. In front of an enthusiastic crowd of 32,000 spectators the
Falcons dominated Doha in the final and lifted the trophy for the second
time after 2005. "We are proud to have Griffin Energy as our sponsor
supporting us to promote women's rugby in the UAE," says team manager
Laurence Arca Bathe. "Sports activities have an important social function.
They bring people of different backgrounds and cultures closer together and
help especially young people to integrate into society," states Haitham A.
Al-Aini as one of the main reasons to sponsor a women's rugby team.

Griffin Energy is actively supporting cultural and social initiatives
